One-on-One Mentoring
Many of our teens do not get much support during or after their pregnancy. We are looking for volunteers to act as a ‘big sister’ to our teens. By having a mentor we find that those who have mentors during their pregnancy are more compliant with attending our educational program, have better outcomes during their delivery, and once they are at home with their baby. By being a mentor you can lending a listening ear, be a companion at childbirth classes, or provide labor support during delivery.
Volunteer Board Member
We're looking a few dedicated community members to help Teen Outreach accomplish its mission. With just a few hours a month you could help by:
1) Oversight and Leadership of Teen Outreach Pregnancy Services
2) Assist with Fund Raising efforts
3) Assist with Outreach and Promotion of our program throughout the community
4) Grant Writing, Research, and Reviewing
Transportation
Many of our teen participants do not have transportation to get to their doctor appointments or to TOPS classes. If you have a good driving record, automobile insurance, and a big heart, this may be the right volunteer opportunity for you!
Grant Writer
Grant writing is an ongoing process that is necessary to be able to maintain services for our clients. If you love to write and do research, and are interested in giving us your help, contact us.
IT - Information Technology
TOPS has a need for volunteers to assist with computer networking, software updates, and maintaining our website. If you are knowledgeable in these areas and would like to help, please contact us.
Donations
We also take in donations, such as items for Jensen's Corner, office supplies, and monetary gifts.
